- Manage all facets of large scale, cross functional technical projects with broad scope to ensure deliverables are met within schedule and quality goals;
- Responsible for establishing project plans, schedules for complex network architecture projects.
- Requires working knowledge of networking topology and protocols, vendor management, MPLS, IMS/VoLTE technologies in order to develop plans and manage the implementation of new products and services into the VZW Network.
- Work with internal teams to develop project scope documents, statements of work and understand dependencies and risks.
- Lead and manage cross-functional project teams through the Plan, Design, Build, Test and Deployment phases to project completion.
- Experienced and comfortable with Microsoft Suite of applications including Project, Excel & SharePoint. Ability to work independently and collaboratively under pressure to deliver on-time results.
- Candidate must be extremely well organized and thrive in an extremely fast paced, cutting-edge environment.
- Candidate must possess superior problem solving skills for complex project issues in order to produce exceptional results.
- Must possess solid experience and proficiency in project leadership and the ability to build productive relationships.
- Experienced delivering status reports to Executives and provide regular project status for management.
Qualifications:
- 5 or more or more years experience managing large enterprise-wide technical projects.
- 5 or more years project management experience leading cross-functional teams.
- Demonstrated experience successfully managing computer system, data center, IT, Network or Telecom projects.
- Demonstrated excellence in verbal, written, analytical and communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability working with all leadership levels to influence project objectives.
- Demonstrated problem solving and negotiation skills.
- Demonstrated expert knowledge and proven experience with the full suite of Microsoft Office applications.
- Demonstrated expert knowledge and proven experience working with project management/scheduling software applications, (eg Clarity, Microsoft Project).
- Demonstrated subject matter expertise in deploying Wireless, Cellular or Telecom technology projects.
- Proven track record of leadership in successful product launches.
- PMP certification highly desired.
Education:
- 4-year Bachelors degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent experience.
- Certifications: Project Management Institutes Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent project management experience.
