Contract Electronics Design Engineer
Duration - 6 months (Likely extension)
Rate - £50-£55 per hour
Location - Crawley
An aerospace simulation company based in Crawley are looking for an electronics design engineer to add an extra pair of hands to their current work load on a contract basis.
The company are one of the best in their niche sector and have a great reputation on the market. The size of the company is roughly 45 people and there is approx. 8 heads within their development team. Their product range includes modern simulation operating systems to Real Time visual and display simulation environment solutions.
The position has become available because the company require extra resource within their hardware development team. The role will involve working on a couple of their current projects, focusing on the electronic design aspects although a knowledge of software and/or mechanics would be beneficial too.
Due to the nature of the products and the company being within a safety sector, you will ideally have experience within the aerospace or simulation industry OR have previously worked within safety critical environments. The company are ideally looking for:
Previously experience with JIRA
Aerospace Industry experience (Beneficial)
Knowledge of basic mechanics or Software (Beneficial)
Mentor graphics
The contract length is initially 6 months. I have spoken with the hiring manager for the position and the chances of this role being long term with extensions looks very likely. Also, the rate ranges from £40 - £50 per hour depending on the level of your experience and the company would prefer for someone to start immediately although would be willing to wait up to a 4 week notice for the right candidate.
