DevOps Test Automation Engineer - Dublin
A Consultancy located in the centre of Dublin have need of a DevOps Test Automation Engineer on a 6 months contract. This Consultancy is looking for you to lead by example and reflect their core values in all your interactions with others.
Job Role Requirements:
- Developing and maintaining automated test scrips
- Closely working with developers to ensure all defects are resolved within the project timeline
- Execution full functionality testing of the new features being added during the sprint and performing full regression for all implemented functionality
- Maintaining and developing automated test scrips
- Strong communication with internal and external customers to clarify requirements and provide test feedback
- Ensure test progress reports are updated daily, all test tasks are reviewed and closed at the end of the script
- Troubleshoot issues to determine if they are code defects or environmental issues
Required Experience:
- 2+ years Test automation experience
- Good working knowledge of Unix/Linux
- Solid Python Scripting experience
- Experience with Jenkins OR similar
- A deep understanding of container and container orchestration technologies - Including Docker - Kubernetes is a plus
- Great problem solving skills with the ability to use your own initiative within a Scrum-oriented team
- Experience with bug tracking, test case management and test analysis
- Proven ability of multiple project handling
- Software Engineering/Computer Science or other related Degree
Desired Skills:
- Experience of Linux system configuration
- Experience with OpenStack private cloud
- Version Control - such as CVS,GIT, Clearcase
- ISTQB certification would be a plus
- A strong knowledge of networking with a background in telecoms
- Tools such as JIRA or similar
