JOB DESCRIPTION
- Ability to set and operate CNC Lathes - Sliding Head experience would be an advantage, Fanuc controls. Experience working on Star machines would be an advantage.
- To work to internal & external customer drawings and specifications applying detailed knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing with the minimum of supervision.
- Ability to achieve tight tolerances and to perform in-process and final component. verification
EXPERIENCE & SKILLS
- Comprehensive working knowledge of a variety of materials(Stainless Steels/Aluminiums etc.)
- Good communication skills to liaise with QA and shift handover
- To work on your own initiative and meet company standard times and quality
- Keep a clean and manageable working area
- To take a responsible approach to health, safety and environmental risks in relation to your own job role and to control the risks or report them to management as appropriate
