Description
We are looking for one "SAP BW/BI Specialist" to start from ASAP a 3-month contract (initial, as kind of probation, extensions possible) for an international Org'-client in Rome, with possibility of extension based on performance and budget availability, the perspective is at least 9-12 months. The purpose of the assignment is to support the migration from BW to HANA.

TASKS
- Analyse user-requirements, map requirements to existing terms and definitions, design and maintain logical data models and write functional/technical specification within the data warehouse environments (SAP BW): design modifications to existing cubes and design new cubes in DW, define specification for extractors.
- Supervise and support Maintenance team to ensure the integration/impact between objects maintained and under development.
- Supervise, evaluate tickets assigned to Application Maintenance Team for root cause analysis of corrective maintenance requests and effort estimation for adaptive maintenance requests.
- Provide input to maintenance team to improve performance and reorganization of the data flows into BW.
- Daily Supervision with Application Maintenance Team of loading issues
- Investigate and resolve production issues escalated by the support team if needed.
- Test the implemented solution.
- Review of Process Chain and Monitoring of delta loading
- Review all the project documentation (BBP, Technical Documentation)
SKILLS
- Datamodelling, custom extraction, staging and transformation, infocubes design and development, Data Store Object (all types of DSO), hierarchies, queries development, and transports between environments, for at least 6 years Full time (incl. experience with release 7.x for at least 3 years),
- 2 years of experience with the newest development trends in BW 7.x on HANA: info provider types, Datamodelling options, Real Time Reporting approach, LSA++;
- Experience with BW on HANA migration, is added advantage.
- At least 3 years of Experience in SAP BO 4.X with various SAP Business Objects (BOBJ) tools (WEBI, CMC)
- At least 2 Experience in Data Visualization (Tableau)
- Good knowledge of ERP/SAP processes (eg FI/CO, MM, SD, SCM, PP, HR, FM, GM)
- Use of standard and enhanced BW Business Content
- Creation of ad hoc extractors (via function module)
- SAP BW related ABAP programming skills (user-exists, routines);
- Datamodelling (Infoobject, Infosource, Infoset, DSO, Infocubes, Aggregates, Multiprovider Transformation rules, routine, CMOD, currency translation, Bex Analyzer and Bex Browser)
- Transport Request (STMS/GSM)
- Proven success in contributing to a team-oriented environment
- Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment
- Desire to work in an information systems environment
- Excellent leadership, communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills
Languages
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English are essential.
