Location: Spain - Catalonia - Barcelona.
An opportunity for a Senior SAP Basis administrator/Team Lead to join a large international end client in Barcelona on a minimum 4 month contract + high chance of extensions long term. Start ASAP.
The candidate should have strong hybrid technology background and experience with SAP Basis.
Responsibilities will include:
A key area of responsibility is coordination between different teams in projects in technical areas, normally related with SAP systems but not exclusively. We are looking for a flexible person that can manage several projects at same time.
Initiative to manage and drive technical work, initiative is required to address issues and questions raised during every day work.
Hands on will be only a small part of the work as most important part is focused in team coordination, planning and tracking of activities in a multinational organization with teams distributed across the world.
Provide status reports for projects to management. Identify risks and launch escalations when needed is also important.
Develop and maintain documentation relevant for technical tasks in projects. Provide KT when required to team members or during service transition process.
Requirements:
6+ years experience in SAP Basis administration, covering ECC, BI, XI, SAP Portal, SMP, BODS, etc. in multinational organizations. HANA database experience is also required, Oracle and MSSQL databases are also a plus.
Deep knowledge of SAP systems management and relevant tasks: installation, upgrades, migrations, performance tuning, etc.
Knowledge of interface technologies (File, RFC, ALE, etc.).
The Basis role must possess the ability to analyze situations and provide problem resolution.
Excellent written and oral communication skills in English are a requirement.
ITIL basic knowledge and/or IT operational experience.
