Software Developer in Test required: Swindon (finance) Automation Tester.
A world class finance client is expanding the development team and requires a Software Developer in Test to join on a 6 month contract. A True Agile environment and this position would suit somebody who is confident in automating regression packs with Java and Selenium. Ideal Test candidates will be able to develop in Java.
This position offers considerable scope within the business to progress your QA career. You will be working amongst bright, passionate developers and testers. The ideal candidate will have previous test automation experience, although they will also consider those from a purely manual testing background to sit within the business and learn from their senior Automation Tester.
Responsibilities for Software Developer in Test.
- Highly skilled at: Selenium test framework, and tools like Specflow, SauceLabs Pa11y, Total Validator, I/O WebDriver etc.
- Strong at using frameworks like Lisa etc to lead testing with stubs
- Skilled at use of performance, security test tools like JMeter, Gatling, Veracode, Sitespeed
- Automation tool Scripting language and take into consideration design patterns, modularization, and user libraries for code reuse
- Use various compiler and deployment options and handles simple to medium level debugging and performance optimisation tasks
- Strong communication skills, should be able to lead and present to client without supervision
- Must be able to create test strategy and plan for driving the project to be delivered successfully.
- Knowledge of Banking domain would be required.
