Allen Recruitment is working with a major international IT Services company which is looking to recruit an experienced Deskside Support (Level 2) Engineer for a 6-month assignment.
This role will be based on a client site located in Dun Laoghaire.
The purpose of the role is to provide day-to-day 2nd level technical support and guidance to the client business, ensuring timely resolution of support tickets in line with the service level agreements.
This is a team focused role and will require strong communication skills along with cross departmental support.
Job Responsibilities:
- Carry out IT support onsite - via the telephone or in person as required
- PC hardware configuration and troubleshooting
- Assist in local project implementation, such as technology refresh and rollouts
- Maintain the Helpdesk incident logging system, recording appropriate information for the cause and resolution in order to identify common issues or recurring problems
- Escalate support calls in line with the SLA escalation procedure
- Provide support to local Service Delivery Manager
- Identify opportunities to improve service delivery processes to ensure productivity and quality is maximized
- Adhere to ITIL best practices, and department & business policies
Knowledge and Experience:
- Suitable candidates will have a minimum 4 years' experience providing IT Level 2 support
- Windows Server Operation Systems (all Current Versions)
- Microsoft Exchange
- Strong customer service skills
- Experience creating and updating knowledgebase documentation
- Good written and verbal communication skills (ability to explain problems and solutions clearly to non-technical users)
- Excellent time management skills
