We are currently looking for a Technical ICT specialist for a global client of ours based in Rotterdam.
Role:
Function Technical ICT Specialist
As a technical specialist you are responsible for the basic product development of IT components and the implementation of technical (application) management. You solve (provided) problems by applying standardized (specialist) methods and techniques. You will deal with the technical management of applications, associated databases and Middleware products.
For this you participate in development projects in the context of life cycle management and in programs and/or projects. You prepare documentation for the IT components and carry out test routines. You keep it up-to-date, do technical management and you do capacity, configuration and change management. You test the architectural designs and make improvement proposals.
You identify, analyze and rectify faults of the IT components independently. For this you sometimes have to be available in case of calamities. You also make proposals from the practice for improving the implementation of the technical (application) management and product development activities and implements them.
You are driven by translating challenges into successes, take calculated risks to achieve goals and instinctively know which people you need to achieve and how to activate them.
Requirements (knock-out criteria):
You have an HBO working and thinking level in the field of informatics, computer technology or telecommunications. (should be clearly shown by resume through work experience, certifications);
Minimum 2 years experience with open source software;
At least 2 years of relevant work experience in a complex IT environment;
Minimum 2 years experience with Linux and Oracle Middleware and DBMS products;
Minimum 2 years experience with at least 2 Scripting languages. (Linux Shell, PERL, SQL, windows powershell);
Available for at least 24 hours.
To wish:
At least 2 years of experience within the P & O and Medical information domain;
At least 2 years of experience in drafting Functional Design, Technical Design and configuration files;
Minimum 2 years experience with POD (Performance Optimized Datacenter) architecture;
Minimum 2 years experience with VMWare ESX hypervisor;
Minimum 2 years experience with chain monitoring (metrics, baseline, trends, dashboards, etc.);
At least 2 years of experience with the life cycles of application landscapes;
At least 2 years of experience with written/oral communication with stakeholders at all levels;
Minimum 2 years experience with project-based work;
Minimum 2 years experience with giving advice and making suggestions for improvement;
Minimum 2 years experience with a government organization preferably Defense.
For this application a Clearance has to be applied for, this takes 6-8 weeks.
