A leading Global Bank require a MiFID II Investment Analyst to be based at their Whiteley Office on an initial 12 Month Contract
Role Purpose
The Investment Analyst role is part of the Global Asset Management operation responsible for private client discretionary investment portfolios. The purpose of this role is to analyse the investment performance of the Banks private client and trust portfolios Under the MiFID II regulation there is a requirement to inform the client if their portfolio drops in value by 10% (or increments thereof) within 24 hours. The Investment Analyst is responsible for monitoring private client portfolios daily to identify if any discretionary investment portfolios have met the criteria as specified by MiFID II.. The performance analysis is undertaken using a variety of applications but mainly monitored using Microsoft Excel (including VBA) and Bloomberg to analyse the information. Daily records of the investment data are maintained and trend analysis produced.
Key Skills and Qualifications
- Good organisational skills and the ability to work accurately within tight timescales
- An intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel including VBA
- Ability to work well within a team and to support other individuals
- Good communication skills
- Strong data management skills
- An interest in investment markets
- An understanding of private client fund management disciplines would be useful
- An understanding of the investment regulatory environment would be useful
