Key Responsibilities:
The main responsibilities are expected to be:
• Quickly understand the Development requirements and be and be able to implement them in code quickly and efficiently
• Take clear responsibility for own work and work collaboratively in a Dev-Ops and Agile environment
• Able to support localised plans for execution and manage own work independently
• Support the Project Management to enable successful completion to challenging timelines
• Escalate any issues that may impact the successful completion of the project(s) in a timely manner to ensure timely resolution
Technical Knowledge - Required:
• Clear evidence of having worked in a similar development role, using structured programming techniques
• Evidence of having worked on Big Data Lakes using a Microsoft Azure platform
• Experience in the development of Analytics applications and concepts
• Expertise in Production, Test and Development platforms in the same or different clouds and creating efficient separation between them, sometimes for the same users
• Excellent understanding of Azure PaaS components
• Good level of proficiency in SQL
• Good level of understanding practical scripting and automation
• Production deployment experience
Technical Knowledge - Advantageous:
• Demonstrable evidence of Dev-Ops in a similar commercial client context
• Understanding of broader Azure components
• Great familiarity with Microsoft based technologies such as Active Directory and related systems and their relevance to the Big Data context
• Familiarity with Enterprise Data Warehouses
