Capacity and Performance Engineer
We require a Senior Capacity Planner & Performance Engineer with expertise across VMWare, Windows, Linux & Networks to undertake daily monitoring of the capacity and performance of our client's Distributed platforms (Windows, Linux and Storage) & Network systems.
Experience in as many of VMware VROPs, PRISM Nutanix, SSRS (SQL Server Reporting Services), Linux PCP, SevOne and Splunk is required, as is broad SQL knowledge including creating SQL queries.
Must be able to identify and investigate Capacity and Performance issues/problems, to propose mitigating actions and to perform ad-hoc capacity and performance analysis.
Candidates will also participate in Performance testing, analyse performance data, propose changes to optimise resource usage and produce the Performance and Capacity Test Reports.
Familiarity with most, or all, of PerfMon, nmon, Linux PCP, SevOne, VMware VROPs, Prism Nutanix, Splunk and SSRS is required and experience with Cloud capacity management and/or a background working in Agile and DevOps environments would be a bonus.
