I am currently working with a global organisation who require an experienced SQL DBA/SQL Database Administrator to join their team in Krakow, Poland on a 12 month contract (freelance) role.
The business is at the forefront of technology as they shape the future of technology, engineering and manufacturing. It's an exciting forward thinking environment within a beautiful city where the business promotes it's employees/contractors to add value through the sharing of ideas and continual improvement.
The successful SQL DBA will boast previous experience within a commercial, contracting environment installing, configuring, administering and troubleshooting the organisations SQL databases.
Key skills include:
- Vast experience with SQL Server administration
- SQL Server monitoring tools and database tuning
- Experience of monitoring, maintaining and upgrading SQL database in an enterprise level estate
- Experience with Python or equivalent
- Experience of identifying potential areas of improvement and then communicating/implementing suggested changes
- Fluent English speaking, reading and writing skills including discussing technical subjects to technical, non-technical and key stakeholder audiences
