Description
I am recruiting for a contract Mechanical Design Engineer for one of my main clients, in the West Yorkshire region. The role will be within the water industry and will be both site and office based. The initial contract is for an 8 months period with the possibility of a rolling extension.
Skills and responsibilities:
- Proficient with 2D CAD
- Mechanical integration of electrical wiring and equipment
- Plastic moulding tool design
- All aspects of producing mechanical drawings and BOM's
- Experience of taking designs from concept to production
- Minimum 5+ years experience within the water sector
Desirable:
- Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering or relevant topic
- Design for high volume production
- Use of MRP systems
You will be required to design, develop and support, throughout all stages of product development, all mechanical aspects of new and existing products. You will need to ensure products are designed and manufactured to required standards and regulations.
