Description
Agile Project Manager urgently required for our London based client on an initial 12 month contract + extensions.You will act as Project Manager within an agile IT software and business process development programme. You will be expected to identify and unblock issues that may delay development, liaise with internal and external stakeholders and manage the project budget ensuring accurate forecasting, monitoring and accounting. You will also be responsible for managing Statements of Work for all associated contractors and all associated commercial arrangements. You will deliver against all internal reporting/ governance requirements (budget, risks, issues, interfaces, progress). You will also develop usage forecasts and inform development accordingly. You will report to Portfolio Director on concern, issues and risks.
The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills within a hybrid agile/waterfall environment. You will have experience of effective reporting and escalation through a waterfall governance process including risks, issues, dependencies, progress and budgets. You will have the ability to identify potential problems and issues proactively and work through them to effective conclusion. You must have the ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with a range of established professionals and specialist - both civil servants and contractors. You will have experience of maintaining contractor contracts, writing statements of work for agile delivery teams and ensuring delivery against them. You must have knowledge of developing forecasts, producing monitoring reports and maintaining project budget to tight constraints. You must also be confident in applying appropriate planning and progress monitoring tools to support an agile development project. Due to the nature of the work candidates must also hold valid SC Clearance in order to be considered.
