Description
We're currently working with a UK bank based in Central London working on the creation of a mobile first challenger bank who are looking to bring on a Native Android Developer on an initial 6-month contract.
Role: Android Developer
Contract Length: 6 months
Location: Central London
Rate: up to £550 a day
The successful candidate will be responsible for defining the application architecture, state management, code structure and development standards including integration of the application with core infrastructure and services. This is an autonomous role in the sense you will be encouraged to share your own ideas on how the team can achieve its desired goals.
Essential Skills
- Knowledge of Android app architecture and design patterns
- Knowledge of platform features and app/play store deployment.
- Deep understanding of Redux.
- Ability to identify the core UI design concepts and principles as outlined in Android's material design and when to apply them.
- Experience with designing adaptive and responsive layouts.
- Functioned within a cross-functional team and demonstrated effective collaboration with visual and UX designers.
Desirables
- Familiar with React best practices surrounding state management, component design and functional programming paradigms.
- Understanding of Redux.
- JavaScript knowledge
- Experience in the finance industry
