Description
GCS are looking for a Production Engineer to work on a contract basis as detailed below:
The ideal candidate for this position will be able to provide engineering expertise to the Operations Team in order for them to enable efficient operation of this automated facility whilst also taking on & supporting other engineers in their work on process improvement projects through a phase of planned refurbishment.
Responsibilities:
- Able to compile CAPEX applications & write specifications for the purchase of equipment
- Identify and cost capital projects
- Implement engineering change through Change Control process
- Competent to oversee the overhaul of equipment
- Able to carry out risk assessments and implement safe working procedures across the facility
- Compile technical reports and documentation as well as commissioning procedures
- Maintain the Process Instruction System
- Participate in DFMEA's
Required skills & experience:
- Knowledge of PLC's
- Strong understanding of pneumatics & hydraulics
- Knowledge of writing and conducting risk assessments
- Sound knowledge of machinery regulations
- Able to write and give presentations at a high level
- HND or Degree in an engineering discipline
