Description
For a huge British-Dutch oil and gas company based in The Hague, I am looking for an all round developer with experience in .NET.
Your role
A diverse skill set is required to manage the complexities of integrating two commercial software tools into a single, coherent product: your team develops procedures to manage data exchange and data persistency between the individual data bases of the product components. Also the extensions to the user interface have to be developed, both in the two main software components and in the newly developed hosting application. The overall integration framework is developed in C#/.Net, making maximal use of the SDK/API of the two main software packages.
Key responsibilities
- Effectively and enthusiastically participate in executing the work program (backlog) of the team
- Work effectively in a complex, large and diverse code base, using two different SDKs to build robust software components
- Work effectively in a diverse SCRUM team; build effective relations with external stakeholders and tool/domain experts
Skills and competencies:
- 1-5 year experience with .NET Framework and OO programming
- Expertise in development language(s); eg: C#/C++, Java, XML, SQL, Windows, Linux and .NET
- Experience/affinity with database technology (MS SQL Server, MongoDB)
- Experience/affinity with GUI development frameworks (WPF, WinForms, HTML5)
- Knowledge of software development methodologies (eg, Agile/SCRUM, ATDD)
- Knowledge in using and developing applicable tool sets (eg, VSTS, GIT, TeamCity, )
- Ability to work well with internal and external technology stakeholders and resources
- Good oral and written communications skills
