Description

The Company.

For one of our clients, an international Shared Service Centre based in Barcelona, we are currently recruiting for a Network Solutions Architect for a 18 months project.

The Job.

Being part of the Architecture Team your main responsibility is to design and standardise our client's Infrastructure Solutions, providing strategic coordination and tactical governance.

The main tasks include:

- Translate enterprise architecture and business requirements into network or process designs
- Develop the technologies, architectures and configurations that deliver the infrastructure services to position the organization to achieve current and long-term objectives
- Communicate a clear technical direction, creating technology use cases and developing strategies for technology transitions
- Evaluate and recommend new products while maintaining knowledge of emerging technologies
- Assessing and making recommendation for improvement
- Perform troubleshooting procedures and design resolution scripts
- Ensure architecture risks are raised when necessary and are managed appropriately
- Ensure that all regional architecture staff are communicated to about common platforms (including roadmap) and infrastructure solutions, in order to enable them to understand their contribution to our target and work towards it in their everyday tasks
- Work collaboratively with IT department and other stakeholders to ensure plans are fully aligned and the relationships are conductive towards successful delivery of change

The Profile.

- You have an excellent level in English (spoken/written)
- You have min. 7 years of experience in a Network and project delivery environment
- You have min. 7 years of experience in data networking and telephony industry, with a focus on TCP/IP Networks and Layer 2/Layer 3 implementations and support in either enterprise or Telco/ISPs environment
- You have experience in DC network technologies (Load Balancing, WAN optimization, HTTP, MPLS and Data Center Networking Design)
- You bring along hands-one experience in BGP routing and design & configuration of edge Routers
- You have strong knowledge in Network Routing protocols (IPv4 and IPv6), including BGP, OSPF, LISP ad EIGRP with a focus on ISP peering and multi-homing architectures
- You have a proven track of record on Route distribution and policy routes design and implementation
- You have experience in working with ISPs or Telcos in their peering management teams in highly valued Deep knowledge on Layer 3 Traffic Engineering and VPN, IÜSEC and Firewalling architectures
- You have experience with multiple network technology exposure - TC/IP, Ethernet, MPLS, VLANS and Switching IP network design
- You have experience with Application Protocols - HTTP, HTTPS, FTP, SMTP, SNMP, SSL and knowledge of SDN
- You have knowledge of Cisco ACI and how to automate utilizing its open API's
- You are an expert in secure network design, using Firewalls, access controls, and client authentication mechanisms
- You are familiar with data encryption practices, concepts and products as pertains to network and application protocols
- You have experience on SDWAN and SD-Access technologies a plus (ex. Viptella, Cisco DNA)
- You have experience on DMVPN design and implementation
- You have experience working within large global organisation and building and maintaining a global network
- You led teams through large scale IT transformation and improvement
- You have effective project and delivery skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
- You have experience of troubleshooting project issues and adjusting to major scope/design change
