Description
I have an urgent requirement for a fantastic opportunity for a Head of Dev Ops for a fantastic 6 month rolling project based in either Stockholm, Gothenburg or Malmo.
You will be required to be an expert in:
* Configuration Management (SCM)
* Installation
* Operations (Infrastructure and applications)
Objectives and Responsibilities of the Head of DevOps
Leadership/Supervisory Role:
- The Head of the team leads the design, build, and operational management of highly secure and scalable sites/software for the business and works tirelessly to guarantee the reduction or removal of bottlenecks and inefficiencies in the assigned area in the SU organization as a whole.
- As the leader of the Technical Services and Operations team, he/she promotes, documents, and implements systems infrastructure best practices, building tools that allow the organization to develop and deploy impeccable software.
- The Head of DevOps also secures tools that leverage productivity amplifiers such as code generators and schema repositories for scalable deployment.
- The DevOps team creates tools and automated workflow capabilities in order to enable the business's software engineering teams to deploy and promote code across the development department.
- The role of the Technical Services and Operations as expected is a highly collaborative one working hand-in-hand with the Front End and Back End development teams in all technical operations and works to reduce or eliminate any repetitive or manual tasks. This includes also hands-on support to the Front End and Back End development teams
- At least 7 years of working experience in a Technical Services and Operations capacity, working within a fast-paced and fast-evolving environment. He/she will also have a successful experience leading a team and can demonstrate a superior and practical understanding of accepted DevOps principles.
The candidate will further have a demonstrated experience in enterprise network technologies and working in a large database operation environment. He/she should have significant experience in service management practices and processes within a continuous delivery environment.
Vast experience in writing code and in the automation, configuration, and application performance management tools such as Ansible, ELK, Prometheus, and Jenkins is also a prerequisite.
