1st Line Service Desk - Manchester City Centre - 3 months - £15-£16 p/h

.Monday Start*

Join a busy IT Customer Service Desk providing 1st line IT support for all systems, delivering excellent customer service at the point of contact backed up by the maintenance of key documentation.

You will be providing an extra pair of hands to the team during a peak' time where thousands of new and returning users come online creating and accessing accounts.

To apply candidates should have the following required skills & experience:

  • Good knowledge of using Active Directory to create/manage user accounts
  • Office 365, Office
  • SCCM
  • MS Exchange
  • Highly customer focused with an excellent telephone manner
  • Sound knowledge of IT systems including Windows based applications
  • Proven experience in a similar 1st line IT Services Support role (IT helpdesk or IT user support).
  • Knowledge of ITIL would be advantageous
  • Ability to use your own initiative/think on your feet and work to tight deadlines
  • Competence with end user computing platforms and telecoms (static and mobile)
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Have a strong customer service ethic
  • Be able to understand and explain Technical systems to non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to diagnose and solve IT related problems.
  • Happy working in a pressurised customer service environment.
  • Can work with minimum supervision and be confident to make decisions without direct support.
  • Ability to work in an IT team spanning disparate locations.
  • Ability to resolve problems and adapt to change.
  • Maintain constructive links with other teams and work collaboratively to deliver targets.
  • Receive feedback and learn from mistakes for continuous self-development.

Hours 9-5pm Monday - Friday

Tele interviews Friday 9th November, immediate start or at some point next week or Monday 19th November very latest.
