One of our Blue Chip Clients is urgently looking for a SharePoint Architect/Administrator

The key job responsibilities include the following:

Working together with the senior administrator, you are responsible for Installation, configuration, management, and maintenance of SharePoint 2013 and 2016 farm.

You work closely with the SharePoint delivery team, you are responsible for managing the Back End applications and installing solutions on the SharePoint farm.

You'll be reporting to Belgian SharePoint administrator and collaborate with peers, technical leads and project managers residing in Hyderabad and Belgium.

Example responsibilities are: building of a SharePoint Farm from scratch, making sure all Servers are patched to the latest security levels (SharePoint Patching and Windows Server Patching), managing of SharePoint content databases in SQL Server 2014 including backups and restores, optimize SharePoint search and crawling.

Daily monitoring of all SharePoint Servers and optimizing for performance.

SharePoint infrastructure planning, design, setup and operations support.

Troubleshooting issues on the SharePoint farm.

You take the initiative and are a good team player with excellent communication skills and high degree of result orientation.

You are a quick learner and stay up to date with latest technologies in your area of work and interest.

You possess sufficient knowledge and experience to adequately carry out work in demanding situations and possess strong troubleshooting skills

You are capable of carrying out second and third line support to agreed standards.

The key skills required are as follows:

Install and upgrade solutions on the SharePoint farm (All SharePoint 2013 and planning for SharePoint 2016/Online)

Fix application incidents to agreed SLAs.

Pro-actively manage applications and underlying systems.

Monitor the progress of open incidents, problems and changes.

Experience working with PowerShell Scripting and virtualization

Ensure the optimal operation of systems by a number of means including proactive suggestion of improvements.

Track the development of existing and new products in the form of patches, fixes and updates.

Monitor backups daily by checking backup tools and when necessary, carrying out backups manually using Microsoft Data Protection Manager and restores when necessary.

Escalate problems to vendors and monitor the progress of these escalations.

Collaborate with team members to deliver the most optimal service to our customers and to continuously improve our solutions

Structure and document the work you do, including the overall system architecture

Offer support to your colleagues where necessary.

Proven knowledge of SharePoint Designs, Configurations, Deployments and managing applications natively, virtually and in the cloud.

Fluent in English

Flexible if circumstances require it (eg major incidents - major upgrades)

Education and knowledge

You are educated to Vocational Level or higher and you have a minimum of two years experience as SharePoint administrator and minimum five years in technology. This includes, but is not exclusive to, experience with IIS 7.5 and the Microsoft SharePoint 2010, 2013 and 2016 platform. Experience with SharePoint Online is certainly an asset.

You have a strong knowledge of IT infrastructures, especially the ones servicing Microsoft platforms

You are at a minimum Microsoft SharePoint MCSE certified.
