Stakeholder Relationship Manager (National Law Enforcement Data Programme)

Summary of the work

The successful candidate will play an integral role building and maintaining relationships. Focused on ensuring a consistent and coherent engagement strategy. Develop and own a series of engagement approaches and channels giving stakeholders a clear voice in the delivery of the programme vision. Responsible for analysing stakeholder groups, communicating effectively to manage their expectations.

What the specialist will work on

Putting in place feedback actions monitoring the effectiveness of engagement activity, reviewing and developing existing engagement channels and emerging engagement needs and working with the communications team to develop communication materials, messaging and lines to take.

Address where the work will take place

Office sites within M25.

Initially based in East Croydon with occasional travel to Central London. Travel may be required to other sites outside M25.

Working arrangements

Full time - Onsite at least 3 days a week for face to face meeting.

Security clearance

SC Clearance required.

Essential skills and experience

  • Proven track record of stakeholder engagement, analysis, tracking and relationship management in UK Government and the Law enforcement Community.
  • Previous experience working with Policing and UK Government and/or other Law Enforcement Agencies or Home Office and a working knowledge of their business areas and priorities
  • Proven experience of facilitating meetings and workshops with people from all levels of seniority
  • Good experience of cultural, strategic and tactical business issues, and aligning digital and technology strategies with business goals when engaging with staff, stakeholders and customers
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical people
  • Experience of developing and delivering staff engagement plans in a technology environment
  • Experience of managing a variety of stakeholder engagement tools, including the use of online channels and good use of MS excel and other MS Applications.

Nice-to-have skills and experience

  • An understanding of the government's digital and technology transformation agenda, and why the government is changing the way it does digital and technology projects
  • Previous experience with stakeholder mapping and analysis to inform communications and relationship management.
  • An understanding of the law enforcement landscape.
