Data Lake Engineer
3 month initial contract + high chance of extensions

An excellent opportunity for a Data Lake Engineer to join a leading international client in Copenhagen on a minimum 3 month contract with high chance of extensions long term. The Data Lake engineer will be responsible for working on pre-defined tasks to build a data lake. The Data Engineer will work on a team creating a data platform for the data scientists. The Data Engineer must have specific experience with building/designing data lakes - enabling data access for both data scientists and business analysts. The Data Engineer must also have extensive experience building data pipelines - extracting information from source systems, consolidating, cleansing and structuring data for use by data scientists
Technial skills:
- NiFi
- Databricks
- Spark
- Azure
- Ability to code in Python is a must
- Must have exceptionally strong skills in open source technologies and previous experience with big data universe
Preferably experience in:
- Apache, Hadoop, Hive, Kafka
- Proficiency in C# or Java is recommended
- SAP experience is an advantage since SAP can potentially be a source for many data points
