Synergis is seeking an Agile - Scrum Master for our client.

This is a 6 month contract located in Cambridge, MA that will most likely extend.

Agile - Scrum Master Responsibilities:

  • Ability to conduct Scrum Ceremonies including being the master of ceremony for demos and other cadence Capable of establishing & conducting Community of Practice (COP) sessions and share work experiences in leading the sprint teams
  • Provide reporting metrics to the leadership on teaming improvement and maturity progress in Agile, and present options to expand/promote Agile culture in the workplace
  • Ability to interact effectively with firm personnel seeking information and assist them in obtaining information Ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated customer service skills/experience Understands the expectations of customers and delivers service that exceeds customer's needs within department guidelines;
  • Exhibits a positive can-do attitude and approach to responsibilities; meets new challenges and changes with an open mind; demonstrates commitment to the job Works effectively with others within the Center of Excellence, ESS and other personnel and external parties
  • Anticipate clients needs, identifies and resolves issues that impact the delivery of quality service
  • Work independently and within a team on special projects and requests
  • This position will support the Data Agenda of this company.
  • Ability to work a schedule to cover East coast or West coast time zones
  • Ability to work in a virtual environment Overtime may be necessary

Agile - Scrum Master Required Education, Experience and Skills:  

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience leading teams to deliver Data Analytics/Big Data platforms & solutions
  • Proficient with Firm standard technology including Windows, Excel, Word, Outlook, Lotus Notes, Intranet, and other related applications
  • 10+ Years of experience working in a Corporate IT environment
  • 4+ years of relevant work experience as a Scrum Master
  • Computer Science Degree, or equivalent work related experience
  • Experience of managing Agile projects and personal accountability for delivering projects to time and cost
  • Expertise in project management and Agile methodology, tools, techniques and templates
  • Strong team working skills across client, supplier and geographically dispersed virtual teams
  • Strong communication and inter-personal skills including negotiation
  • Experience establishing cloud-enabled platforms on Microsoft Azure, including implementing IaaS and PaaS capabilities focused on data management, storage and analytics
  • Experience employing techniques including Lean - Agile practices, Kanban, continuous integration and continuous deployment
  • Knowledge and use of industry-standard project methods, tools and techniques (velocity charts, control charts, burn-down metrics etc)
  • Certified Scrum Master and/or SAFe-certified
  • PMP or PMI/CAPM certification is preferred.
