Description

Ops Engineer/Application support/Operations engineer

As the successful Ops Engineer, you will ensure the operational stability, integrity and availability of one or more in-house operated applications. You will actively monitor, manage, test, deploy and operate several applications.

You will also, amongst other responsibilities:

  • Configure and implement Monitoring Tooling to enable 24x7 monitoring of the entire technology stack using appropriate Event Alerts
  • Monitor a system, including interfaces, databases, Middleware, (virtual) operating system and hardware. This primarily applies to the Production environments but in a less formal way is relevant for the Acceptance environments as well
  • Provide 2nd-line support, ie resolves incidents
  • Specify, create, test and deploy runtime scripts (eg stop/start/purge/backup)
  • Test and execute deployment and rollback scripts in the Acceptance and Production environment
  • Deploy (new versions of) an application in the Acceptance and Production environments

To be considered for this position you must be a driven Ops engineer who feels personal responsibility for the quality of your application and its reliability. You are ambitious with what you and your BusDevOps team want to achieve. You will bring positive energy to the team and have very good social and communication skills.

Your education, experience and background:

  • Education at Bachelor/Master level with a strong analytical background, preferably in IT.
  • Relevant IT experience: 3 years
  • Relevant domain experience: 2 years
