Position: Server Administrator
Location: Columbia, SC
Duration: 12 Months (Potential Hire)
Position Summary:
- Administers and deploys infrastructure including hardware, software, and various configurations.
- Provides administration and maintenance of user devices and communications links to assure operational availability.
- Administers and tests server hardware and software.
- Performs remedial maintenance of server devices including the restoration of hardware and software.
Required Work Experience:
- 2 years of server or other job-related experience.
- Windows 2008 or Windows 2012 Server administration experience
Preferred Work Experience:
- Knowledge and/or experience with discovery tools such as AMED, IaaSD, BigFix, and/or TADDM
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Strong technical knowledge of Servers, communications, and related hardware and software.
- Knowledge of server technologies and platforms.
- Strong technical skills including problem analysis of server systems.
- Able to gather information to troubleshoot various server problems.
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to communicate technical issues with non-technical people.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Strong knowledge of common server administration, monitoring and security utilities.
