Production engineer

Location: Romsey, Hampshire
Our client are seeking an experienced hardware engineer with a background in high volume production of RF, mixed signal and digital electronics equipment for the industrial and/or consumer electronics market.
Essential skill/experience
- Liaison and oversight electronics PCB manufacturers/assemblers
- Knowledge of production methods and processes
- Experience of audit of factory processes
- Overview of printed circuit fabrication and assembly techniques
- Configuration management solutions for production/products
- Test solutions for medium and high volume industrial products
- Knowledge of obsolescence management and planning for volume manufacture
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Beneficial skills
- Skilled in the liaison and oversight of Far-East electronics equipment manufacturers
- Statistical process control
- Radio equipment measurement techniques
Further Desirable Experience
- Design for EMC
- Design for high volume manufacture
- Good fault investigation and diagnosis skills
- Design of IoT hardware for industrial applications
- CAD for PCB design (eg Altium)
