DevOps Engineer - Autonomous Driving Contract 6+ months
M-F 40 hours weekly
Sunnyvale, CA

SUMMARY:
Work in Silicon Valley, California and help develop a world-class infrastructure to support Autonomous Driving. This position will collaborate intensively with both IT and developers to implement and maintain an infrastructure that is highly automated, resilient, and flexible. The position will also collaborate with various quality organizations to implement integrated and self-diagnosing frameworks that provide proactive information regarding system health and system stability. Become an expert in installing and managing CI-CD tool infrastructure.!

REQUIREMENTS:
*Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field of study (Bachelors + 5 years/Masters + 0 yrs)
*Live and breathe Linux, especially Ubuntu and OpenSUSE.
*Experience working in an Agile/DevOps environment.
*Experience with work-flow management such as JIRA. Document and update status in sprint cycles.
*Experience creating and maintaining automation frameworks for deployment and operational monitoring of complex IT systems. Examples of deployment tools include Puppet, Chef, Ansible and SaltStack. Examples of operational monitoring tools include Ganglia, Nagios, Icinga, and AppDynamics.
*Experience working with container technologies, such as Docker, in a production environment.
*Experience automation interfaces, Scripting APIs and administrative tools, examples include REST or Linux command-line.

NICE TO HAVE:
*CI/CD tools: Jenkins
*Repository tools: Artifactory, Aptly
*Deployment tools: Ansible, Puppet, Chef, or SaltStack
*Scripting languages: Bash, Python
*On-premise virtualization: VMware vSphere and ESXi
*On-premise storage: NetApp
*Cloud environments: Azure, AWS
*Managing Servers in a server room or co-location site.
*German language skills are a plus
