Description
Our client is a global asset management firm based in Edinburgh and due to increase in demand, they're looking to attract the skills of an accounting assistant for an initial six month period.
Top 3 Requirements
Strong Microsoft Excel proficiency
Experience handling invoices or client billings
2 years minimum of accountancy experience (preferably within financial services)
Day to day expectations of the successful candidates
Daily checking and oversight of off-shored activities to India, which include:
- Reviewing client invoices and supporting files to ensure accuracy and that procedures have been correctly followed prior to issuing these to clients
- Checking and approving instructions to debit clients' funds for fees invoiced
- Oversight testing
- Supporting aged reporting and escalation to local business
- Reviewing certain set up processes
- General Admin
- Query resolution
- Reporting
- Ad-hoc work to support the Billings & Receivables manager
The successful candidate must have strong communication skills and the ability to work to tight deadlines.
Candidates must be available within 1-2 weeks notice period due to client demand.
