Our Global Financial Services Client requires an Infrastructure Solutions Architect on an initial 11 months contract based in London. You will be responsible for recommending and defining the technology solution architecture areas such as software solutions, technology platform, etc.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accountable for driving excellence in the delivery of technical solutions considering reusability, and non-functional requirements such as performance and security.
- Able to assemble a broad set of technologies and services to create a complete solution to a technical requirement: application software, Middleware, database, hardware, storage, network, and integration and leverage of appropriate cloud technologies
- Understanding of solution trade-offs such as cost, scope, timescale, and balance between long-term strategic and short-term pragmatic considerations
- Able to work with domain and technology experts to develop the detailed solution architecture required to be implemented, and to support the development team at a detailed design level - recognized as a subject matter expert
- Experience of designing APIs to operate in a (micro) services architectures, ideally using REST
- Responsible for identifying and documenting key architecture decisions and ensuring these are shared and agreed with other members of the architecture community and engineering teams.
- Provide Subject Matter Expertise in respect of the technical aspects of the Commercial Bank Customer and Regulatory Systems
Key Skills:
- Experience of working in an agile development environment and with 3rd party suppliers
- Assist in the development of new products, product releases and product components through the use of appropriate and tailored architecture methods.
- Experience in technical solution evaluations, documenting clear choices, and presentation of the recommendations that enable both business and technical decision making.
- Demonstrable cloud experiences (eg, GCP, AWS, Azure) and definition of cloud hosted solutions. Able to articulate solutions implemented for the security, data protections, etc.
- Demonstrable experiences of presenting solution architecture and design to technical architecture or design forums.
Desirable:
- Experience of Regulatory projects (eg, Customer Tax Reporting like CRS, FATCA, MiFID2, etc) processes and requirements
Experience of implementing data integration and reconciliation architectures, including MDM and usage of machine learning toolsets for advanced functions
