Accountant
Yoh solutions are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established manufacturing and Engineering client in the Cambridge area. This position has arisen to due to a maternity cover requirement. They are in need of a Management Accountant to support their business planning and strategic development across the finance department. You will need a proven background as a Management Accountant preferably within the engineering or manufacturing industries to hit the ground running.
What you will be doing:
- Full responsibility and oversight of inventory from a financial perspective
- Management accounts on delivery for the month's end
- Working with the Project Managers to understand project progression and changes in inventory balances
- Posting timesheets at month end, ensuring all posting issues are reviewed and resolved
Experience
- Knowledge and experience in month end Management Accounts
- Experience of inventory processes within an ERP system
- Understanding of revenue recognition processes
- Analysis, interpretation and presentation of data for management reporting
- Experience of VAT returns for 4 companies plus Denmark, Finland, Sweden
- Whilst some level of qualification in Accountancy would be beneficial but not essential
Essential
- Experience in an ERP system in a manufacturing/Engineering environment
- Excellent numeration for the above mentioned systems
- Intermediate Excel skills (formulas, pivot tables, data manipulation)
- Proven problem solver who works on own initiative
Location: Royston
Duration: 9 months (Maternity cover)
Start: January 2019
Rate: £18 per hour
