Azure Architect/Solutions Designer
London
6 Month Contract
GBP 500/day (DOE)
Azure Cloud Architect/Solutions Designer needed for a 6 Month Rolling Contract in London (Liverpool Street). Start ASAP in Dec/Jan (subject to your Notice Period/availability).
Key experience and responsibilities will include...
- Designing/implementing large-scale, high-availability Azure Cloud architecture solutions.
- Defining strategy for enterprise level Azure Cloud solutions.
- Integration of existing on-premise Active Directory (AD) deployments. Integrating with Cloud AD (specifically AD Connect).
- Analyzing Azure and on-premise costs + ROI calculations to support Business Case for cloud solutions.
- Analysis/identification of Applications for Cloud solutions (mapping workloads, IaaS, PaaS and private clouds).
- Implementing/hosting large, complex solutions in Azure IaaS and configuring correct VM size and storage selection.
- Implementing, configuring and re-platforming large database solutions in Azure using SQL Server or Oracle.
- Implementing hybrid connectivity between Azure and on-premise using virtual networks, VPN and Express Route.
- Implementing Azure PaaS services (websites, web/worker roles, SQL Azure database, storage, service bus, cloud services, Remote Apps etc).
- Understanding of cloud security requirements (IAM, Web Application Firewalls, Data protection, Digital Rights Management).
- The following experience would also be helpful: Azure DR solutions, DevOps environments, CI/CD, Jenkins, Docker, Powershell, Office 365 (O365), Java.
