Description
A well-known and highly thought of consulting firm has an urgent requirement for an Interim Procurement Manager in Reading on a long-term basis.
Scope of Work
You will be tasked with developing and supporting strategic direction with a recommended business case proposal, supplier sourcing decisions and ultimately implementing your plans.
You will generate status reports into the project management team covering key performance measurements and business planning activity. Finally, you will analyse SAP Supplier data and present management reports.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Leading the outsourcing programme for finance and procurement
- Leading and structuring the RFx process for finance and procurement outsourcing projects.
- Lead key negotiations that reflect ongoing cost and process efficiencies that drive in long-term benefit to the organisation.
- Ensure cost models can be benchmarked and drive benefit to the bottom line.
- Ensure commercial governance processes are followed both internally and externally
- Play a leading role in service reviews, contacts, supplier performance management and contract management.
The Procurement Manager
You will have a proven track record of implementing major projects within large organisations, an excellent understanding of the financial/process management outsourcing market and the ability to work to tight timelines.
Experience of procurement and financial systems and processes, a proven track record of supplier management, including evidence of effective negotiation skills within high value procurement and strong communication and relationship management skills at all levels including senior management with ability to influence an audience in a logical and persuasive manner.
Having a proven understanding of outsourcing models will also be highly beneficial.
