Colleague Research Engagement Lead - Banking - 12 months - Birmingham - £459/day

A top retail bank based in Birmingham is currently seeking a Colleague Research Engagement Lead to join a Colleague Journey Transformation programme for an initial 12 month period.

Overview of the Programme/Project

  • The Ways of Working team is on a mission to improve everyday life for colleagues, from simplifying our internal processes and systems through to reducing bureaucracy. This role offers an exciting opportunity to get involved in two of the journeys our colleagues asked us to transform - Travel & Expenses and Connecting People. We are looking for a passionate, creative change agent to join our agile team and to help us understand colleague perspectives, engage colleagues in our journey and deliver a slicker, simpler way to travel for work, and to connect people.

Responsibilities and Accountabilities

  • Engaging colleagues to find out what matters to them, by designing and leading innovative research activities including focus groups, interviews and co-creation sessions
  • Using this insight to come up with ideas for quick and simple things we can do to make life better for colleagues
  • Challenging thinking and driving genuine transformation of one of our key colleague journeys, making sure all we do is focussed on what matters for colleagues
  • Role modelling the bank's behaviours through trusting and collaborating with your colleagues and trying new ways of doing things to fix bureaucracy
  • Facilitating hackathons or incubations to understand the as-is and to-be journey
  • Delivering improvements to your allocated journey
  • Developing high quality outputs for consideration at a Groupwide and an executive level

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Verbal and written communication
  • Experience setting up, rolling out or encouraging use of collaboration or information sharing tools (eg Jive, Workday) This is essential
  • Agile change or process improvement delivery
  • Customer research techniques - This is essential

Desirable Skills and Experience

  • Designing and leading training
  • Agile methodology, systems thinking and service design
  • Video design and editing
