Qualified Lawyer - PSD2 - Regulatory Specialist
My London based Financial Services client are looking for a Senior Regulatory Professional on a 6 month contract for up to £650 per day.
Role Description
The role requires an in depth understanding of PSD2/PSR in particular as they relate to the business of an AISP and PIPS and how both parties interact with ASPSPs. The candidate must be familiar with the following to the extent that they would be able to support a discusion in a technical debate with a regulatory specialist from a tier one ASPSP or a technical specialist at the FCA or ICO.
Issues will include:
- The difference between API, pass thorough, redirection and screen scraping, and how that effects security and compliance.
- The FCA defined regulatory perimeter for ASPSP access
- The difference between payment accounts covered by PSD2 and accounts that are not included
- The difference between sensitive payment data, sensitive personal data and special category data.
- The FCA and treasury publications on the PSRs and the history of the regulatory changes in approach.
- The proposed contents of the EBA RTS on SCA and the tensions between the EBA and the commission on TPP access provisions.
- The differences in the way that GDPR and the PSRs treat consent.
Requirements
Required skills, capabilities and experience.
- Experienced Legal and Regulatory professional. Essential
- Likely to be a qualified solicitor or similar >8 years PQE
- Experience of several large complex regulatory programmes. Essential
- Practical experience working in Legal and Regulatory teams within financial services and payments sector, preferably with a UK and European perspective. Essential
- Excellent knowledge of PSD2 and RTS and similar. Essential
- Experience within regulatory or government policy units.
- Good quality verbal communication and report writing & document production Essential
- A well rounded individual with good analytical expertise and relevant experience. Essential
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment, and as a self-starter Essential
