Power BI Services Consultant/Architect
As a Power BI Services Consultant/Architect, you will make our Power BI implementation a success. You will provide guidance on the Power BI enterprise implementation.
You will work as an Power BI advisor on:
- Power BI enterprise implementation;
- Connectivity to data sources in Azure and on premise
- Access control and data security;
- Life cycle management.
Power BI Activities:
- Help to plan the Power BI implementation. Eg: identify whether reports will be deployed to the Power BI service or Power BI Report Server and distribution via Power BI Premium;
- Provide overview presentations and demonstrations to the team;
- Develop proofs of concept using Power BI with customer data;
- Provide customer training and consulting on Power BI usage;
- Provide implementation assistance in areas such as provisioning Power BI and installing Power BI gateway;
- Provide guidance on Power BI enterprise implementation best practices;
- Document and maintain knowledge of Power BI updates and new features, and other Microsoft BI initiatives.
Power BI JOB REQUIREMENTS
Power BI Skills/competences:
- Deep knowledge or Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service, Power BI Personal/Enterprise Gateway and Power BI Mobile;
- Understanding or Power BI app workspaces and apps;
- Understanding of Power BI security capabilities, including row-level security;
- Strong verbal and written communications skills;
- Ability to attend to group of up to 10 people including executives;
- Enterprise BI implementation experience with Power BI.
Power BI Experience/knowledge:
- Microsoft Analyzing and Visualizing Data with Power BI certification 70-778 and/or edX DAT207;
- Knowledge of SQL Server and Azure SQL;
- Knowledge of SSAS;
- Experience with Power BI Report Server and SSRS;
- Experience in a consulting or Power BI sales support role;
- Knowledge of competitive BI tools such as MicroStrategy or Tableau;
- Knowledge of Data Science or machine learning;
- Strong knowledge or Power BI data querying and modelling capabilities, such as creation or calculated columns, measures, and relationships;
- Knowledge of data visualization techniques such as conditional formatting, and use of drilldown and drill through.
