Edinburgh/London: Senior Business Analyst - Sanctions/PEP Screening Solutions - paying up to £420 per day - EA Change Groups' large life and pension's client requires a motivated Senior Business Analyst to join them on an initial 6 month contract.

The Clients Financial Crime Programme has been set up to deliver change effectively. The Screening workstream within the Programme has been created to ensure that their Sanctions Screening (payments and customers) and PEP screening solutions are optimally configured and operating at their most efficient capability.

The Client utilises the Actimize WLF system for both Real Time payments screening and bath-based customer screening for PEPs and Sanctions.

Note: This is a "business side" role, however deep technical skills, knowledge, and involvement will be required

This role will be responsible for:

  • Liaising with senior SMEs to understanding the regulatory and policy requirements
  • Liaising with IT and other technical partners to document the full end-to-end as-is technical setup
  • Defining future state business requirements and performing gap-analyses against this to define required changes.
  • Authoring change requests and liaising with IT to ensure accurate translation to functional and technical requirements; authoring related test approaches; and driving the change through to deployment.
  • Maintaining the overall requirements library, ensuring traceability through to solution delivered.
  • Coordinating between business and IT partners to identify opportunities to improve configuration to increase matching efficiency, driving up quality of alerts and reducing false-positives (note - these could be data- or tuning-led, or a combination)

Essential skills include:

  • Demonstrated experience working with Actimize WLF (Watchlist Filtering) in both a deployment and tuning context, including detailed technical knowledge as to the functionality and configuration of this system. Preference given to candidates with Actimize WLF experience, however other systems such as Fircosoft; Norkom; Hotscan; OWS; will be considered)
  • Highly experienced in customer and payment data data flow mapping and analysis
  • Strong track record of delivery within a Financial Services environment, directly related to technology solutions (or solutions that have technology at their core)
  • Ability to understand both the technical requirements at a deep level, communicating directly with technology partners; as well as those of end users and how they will interact with the system.
  • Understanding of external data providers eg Dow Jones, WorldCheck
  • Experience in all areas of AML/Financial Crime prevention, across multiple banks.
  • Experience in process improvement and operating model changes.
  • Ability to identify and deliver innovative solutions/alternatives when faced with roadblocks
  • Expert senior stakeholder management - self starter and able to quickly build own networks within the bank
  • Clear, concise and succinct communication- oral and written
