Description
Fullstack Java Developer required for our Central Government, Westminster based client on a 6 month initial contract + possible extensions.You will design, create and improve new and existing products, platforms and transactions across the organisation. Have strong skills in front end and back end web development and be ready to quickly get to work within a multi-disciplinary team of developers, designers, editors and analysts focused on one or more products or projects. You will also build web and mobile products to serve a variety of users' needs, implementing APIs for internal and external use. You will also build up a useful, robust automated test suite to support a Continuous Deployment environment. You will share knowledge of tolls and techniques with the wider team, both developers and non-developers. Take part in 2nd - line support of applications and platforms.
The ideal candidate will have experience in a similar role, with knowledge of Linux, Java, Node, Docker and Kubernetes. Public Sector experience is preferred however not essential.
