ENTERPRISE SOLUTION ARCHITECT
The Enterprise Solution Architect will be responsible for ensuring the proposed solutions and designs are aligned to business requirements and technology strategy. The role will include strong stakeholder engagement; day to day tasks of the Architect will support Project Delivery and Operations functions with a quick turnaround on expected deliverables.
Principal accountabilities
- Have design authority over technology based projects; provided in-house or by third parties.
- Develop and implement a governance structure and process over technology design and delivery.
- Support the Enterprise Integration function providing subject matter expertise and producing related design artefacts
- Support the IT Operations function in triage, troubleshooting and system optimization
- Work in close collaboration with third party vendors and suppliers to determine the most viable solution options and cost implications.
Experience
- 10+ years EA experience with 15+ years of IT experience, Enterprise Architecture, EA frameworks and Tools.
- 10+ years of experience with Server Side technologies and major application Servers (WebSphere Application Server is a must)
- Broad technical knowledge and in-depth experience with integration and configuration:
- Ability to communicate efficiently upwards (to business), downwards (to IT teams) and laterally (to peers, vendors)
- Experience with IBM Integration Bus (IIB) 9+ (from both a solution design and service/flow development perspective) & IBM BPM
- Experience with IBM WebSphere MQ 7+ (from both a design and installation/administration perspective)
- Knowledge of the IBM Transformation Extender Pack for Supply Chain EDI
- Understands Integration Patterns such as SOA, EAI, ESB, File transfers etc.
- Knowledge of implementing Microservices, API, Web Services and SOA and how to differentiate between them
- Good knowledge and experience in working with API and Service Development and Management software
- Able to explain the differences with various approaches

- Demonstrates creativity in identifying opportunities and finding solutions.
Qualifications
- IT related Degree (desirable)
- Strong experience of System Implementation related projects and design
- Strong experience in a significant Enterprise Architecture role
- Architecture related certifications (TOGAF, Zachman, SOA)
