Description

Our customer, a highly reputable personal care company, are currently recruiting for a Technology and Implementation Director on to join their research and development centre based in Edinburgh.

Working closely with various stakeholders including senior leaders across the business and the end user community, it will have the responsibility for leading cross-functional project teams and overseeing contractors.

This role will offer a highly attractive day rate on an initial 8 month term, and will lead the design and development of instruments, equipment and processes from Laboratory through to Manufacturing.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have 10+ years management experience within the pharmaceutical or biotech industry
  • Have specific experience in the research, clinical and quality functional areas within biotech or pharma.
  • 5+ years of professional IT experience across various technical and business areas
  • Masters or PhD in IT, engineering or Life sciences
  • Technical experience in one or more of: Parenteral or Solid Drug Product Manufacturing/Development, Biotech or Chemical Production Development, Analytical Development or Quality Control
  • Have good leadership and people skills

The main duties of the role involve leading an IT Project and Engineering Logistics set up.

Some duties include but are not limited to:

  • Develop appropriate project plans from timeline through to financial plans and business care.
  • Oversee schedules, supplies, materials and manpower requirements in the piolet plant.
  • Recommend programs to maximise project success, improve quality, and efficiency of the R&D plant operations.
  • Define and create specific project teams, including vendors and contingent workers as needed.
  • Partner with Compliance and Validation resources as required to drive system validation activities
