Integration Architect in VMWare and OpenShift for challenging projects

Job description

For a very big customer in our datacenter, we are looking for an integration architect with strong knowledge in VMware or OpenShift. You'll work jointly with other architects and engineers in the following technology:

* VMware (ESX, vSphere)
* OpenShift, OpenStack
* Linux, Window
* Active Directory (AD), Domain Name Services (DNS), Infoblox
* Storage (EMC), databases (Oracle)
* Cisco Catalyst and Nexus, Cisco Routers
* ACI leaf-Spine Architecture + VxLAN (Nexus 9000)
* Firewalls (Palo Alto, Juniper, F5)

* ANPR cameras, Road User Charging, emergency services
* Workplace management for users: laptop, mobiles, Office365
* Design of new WAN, MAN and wireless networks
* Setting up of new datacenter at customer-site with high reliability and availability
* Design of hybrid solution and roadmap of migrations, DRP solutions
* SD-LAN, SD-WAN, SD-security
* Radio network, Unified Communications, IP TV

Profile

* You have experience in:

* VMware (ESX, vSphere)
* OpenShift
* Linux, Window
* Active Directory (AD), Domain Name Services (DNS)
* Storage (EMC), databases (Oracle)
* You made technical designs for large projects.
* You have an experience in ICT of at least 7 years.
* You have good communication skills and you are customer oriented.
* You speak and write in English.

* Plus for the candidature (optional):

* You also speak Dutch or German
* You have experience with OpenStack
* You have experience with public cloud like Azure
* You have experience with Infoblox
* You have also expertise in Networks and Security

* Cisco Catalyst and Nexus, Cisco Routers
* ACI leaf-Spine Architecture + VxLAN (Nexus 9000)
* Firewalls (Palo Alto, Juniper, F5)

* You have experience in software release management.
* You worked for large infrastructures or participated to migration projects.

Role and responsibilities

To be successful in the job as Customer Solution Architect, you must be able to perform the following:

* Together with another integration architect, you are the trustable technical point of contact of the whole solution: for the Proximus team, for the client and for the software provider of the client.
* Once the project is sold you design the detailed solution:

* Based on a high-level design and the explanations from the pre-sales team, you build the planning in close collaboration with the project manager.
* You clarify with the client and with the operational team some further details on the requirements. You are supported by the Service Delivery Manager.
* To design an end-to-end solution, you collaborate with engineers from each technology domain (internal competences, partners and providers)
* You write the technical documents that describes all the building blocks of this solution (diagrams + text)
* You explain this solution to the client and you get its acceptance. You'll do this jointly with the Project Manager.
* During the implementation, you fix with the engineers and the Project Manager any issue that could happen: new requirements, feature not working as expected, other information on the field.
* For Operation

* You prepare the monthly releases (software evolution) and infrastructure patching. You participate as technical coordinator to these releases.
* You perform audit, capacity analysis, review reports of life cycle management, review the architecture and write recommendations for improvements.
* Based on your end to end knowledge of all the solutions implemented for the customer, you take the technical lead of the problems multi-technology (coordination of the engineers and partners).
* Once you know well the customer, you are active in pre-sales (for that one customer only):

* You collect the requirements of the customer and design some high-level solutions.
* You discuss the advantages and drawbacks of this solution (Operation and costs).
* You are supported by pre-sales product specialists and solution sales.
