Description

6 month contract. Dublin City Centre. Financial Services industry.

  • Support the definition and delivery of automation/Dev-ops test strategies, plans, process improvements and initiatives.
  • Able to use REST API to validate API payloads, path definitions, error codes.
  • Oversee the creation of comprehensive and well defined test scripts that are traceable back to requirement.
  • Lead team of quality engineers throughout the testing process and report progress to Test Manager.
  • Oversee Execution of functional and integration test scripts & negative testing and report progress to Test Manager.
  • Devise and execute acceptance and security tests for Microservices based on API definitions.
  • Participate/Lead defect triage discussions including defect prioritisation.
  • Contribute into Test Manager reporting including appropriate test metrics on planning, defects and execution.
  • Works closely with the development team.
  • Escalate risks and issues to the appropriate level to enable timely mitigation.
  • Ensure defects are raised correctly as per the defect management process using defect management tools.
  • Support the integration of new infrastructure technology in to existing cloud.
  • Develop professional relationships with business stakeholders to understand requirements and explain capabilities.
  • Drives Innovation in a field of test automation and DevOps.

Skills/Experience:

  • 3+ years of experience with test automation/DevOps.
  • Strong familiarity with Microservice architectures and best practices for running in a container orchestration environment.
  • Concepts of REST and API's.
  • Strong technical experience with open source technologies and infrastructure environments.
  • Experience with BDD and supporting systems/languages + Cucumber + Jenkins + SOAP UI + Gherkin with a focus on automation using CI/CD
  • Hands-on experience with automation framework design and development.
  • Architectural Patterns eg Microservices, Service Oriented Architecture.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and hands-on experience with onshore and offshore team members.
  • Strong self-management skills with ability to effectively collaborate with peers and management.
