Description

My client, an energy trading company based in Sunbury, requires an Agile Coach

An Agile Coach is required for the development and delivery of Agile and DevOps coaching in the project community.

Key Criteria As Agile coach, you will have a deep understanding of different Agile and lean approaches and supporting context, such as:

Agile behaviours

Agile project governance

Agile process

Fostering a collaborative culture across portfolio management, program and project teams

Inspiration for change

You will inspire change, in culture and behaviours, at all levels of IT and the business, while remaining comfortable to being challenged, and have the enthusiasm and tenacity to obtain successful outcomes.

Scrum master expertise

You will have a spectacular understanding of Scrum, combined with significant recent experience performing a Scrum master role and successfully delivering software projects.

You will be comfortable in facilitating any and all Agile ceremonies to a high standard.

In addition to advising teams on the most effective Agile methods, you will be required to step into a Scrum Master role from time to time, to show how it is done.

Product Owner Expertise

You will fully understand what makes a great product owner and how best to implement the product owner role. In particular, how to create, maintain and refine a backlog of work.

Significant experience in people management and excellent communication skills are also required.

The Agile Coach will need to know what to do when there is no traditional product owner available and be able to ensure Agile processes work with existing business analysis and change teams.

Coaching Expertise

You will understand the core coaching principles and skills required to enable change and will be able to demonstrate these skills to a high level.

Experience working with a similar organisation.

It is a large company and its teams are located across the world. You will help to ensure that cross functional, cross time zone, multi-location teams work effectively by building on the tools and processes already available.

Knowledge of Agile tools and Metrics

You will be happy to actively ensure that all teams are executing their projects in the best possible way with the tools provided. Experience of DevOps tooling and VSTS would be of particular interest.
