Job Specification
You produce end user product documentation such as installation and user guides and online help to assist customers in learning how to deploy and manage the client's Managed Security Services products. You work in a small team of Technical Writers.
Your tasks include:
- Write, edit, and proofread documentation, following the company style guidelines.
- Participate in documentation reviews.
- Provide regular feedback on your progress and interact with other writers on the same projects.
- Create online help and product tutorials.
- Interact closely with developers and testers to ensure the accuracy of the documentation.
- Provide information to the project leader to assist with project planning, including identifying problem areas and providing status updates.
Profile
- As a Technical Writer with a minimum of 2 years of experience, you have either a degree in Technical Communications or another degree with relevant technical experience
- Strong FrameMaker skills and understand the concepts of page layout and template use.
- Experience working in DITA and migrating projects to DITA
- Knowledge of WebWorks ePublisher or other online help applications
- Understanding of programming or scripting beneficial
