Java Middleware Developer Contract (6 months)

RecWorks has a new contract opportunity within investment banking - it's focused around large scale Java8 Middleware integration work. Specific experience in the areas of Java8, EAI, ESB, Middleware integration and messaging would help your candidature stand out.
The opportunity is within an Architecture and Enterprise messaging team working on 2 new long-term projects at an investment bank. They're high profile projects within the organisation that would expose you to all areas of the business including front/middle/Back Office. In particular you will be expected to work on problems around complex enterprise application integration. They're looking for candidates to have a strong background in Java application integration work, messaging (JMS, AMQP), Middleware, distributed transaction processing, Spring, TDD and BDD. It's an initial 6 month agreement with the expectancy to be renewed through extensions over time. It would also include quite a bit of flexibility in how you make up your hours, and offer some occasional remote based working too.
The team would ideally like someone that shares their thoughts about what makes high quality code, TDD, BDD and industry best practices.
They're located near St Pauls, Central London and have a budget or around £/day depending on experience and how interviews progress.
