Our client is looking for an experienced Software Contract Management Consultant

About Software Contract Management

Software Contract Management is a growing team responsible for managing a significant vendor portfolio with a vision to build best-in-class commercial capabilities. The work is a mixture of contract management, spend analysis, advisory services and project support, including negotiation, drafting, dispute resolution, vendor management, market intelligence and vendor governance. There are plenty of opportunities to demonstrate and enhance your skills, build your knowledge, deliver change, optimise value and manage risk across our contract landscape.

Key Responsibilities

  • Vendor governance, ensuring contract compliance and benefit realisation
  • Driving continuous improvement and innovation
  • Driving cost management and value optimisation
  • Developing and managing supplier relationships
  • Developing and executing commercial strategies
  • Consolidating and right-sizing contracts
  • Manage integration and separation of contracts as a result of acquisitions, integrations and divestments
  • Providing contract subject matter expertise to drive optimal contractual arrangements
  • Supplier negotiations individually or in cooperation with the IT sourcing team and IT stakeholders

You will have significant responsibility from the start and be expected to execute and deliver on time and in line with business needs.

The Ideal candidate

You have a minimum of 5 years experience in IT and software contract management with a strong commercial IT background, have widespread experience working with IT software and services vendors in an international company and have, or be working towards, a procurement qualification, such as MCIPS or CCM.

You are passionate about procurement, driven and have a demonstrable track record of successfully driving contract value, through technical excellence, skilled negotiation and effective management.

You are a team player, able to successfully prioritise multiple tasks and meet deadlines. Are open-minded, a good communicator and able to establish relationships across geographical boundaries and cultures. Can work independently having a personal drive and a strategic mind-set. Naturally engages stakeholders and actively manages expectations and you dare to challenge previous beliefs and traditions, persistently driving the business optimisation agenda.
