Harvey Nash are now inviting candidates to apply for the position of Internal Audit Manager for a 3 month contract (which could extend) starting in January, located in Glasgow for our public sector client.
Please note this role does fall inside of IR35.
The Role
Lead the day to day provision of the audit service, under the guidance and direction of a Senior Internal Audit Manager. You will be expected to lead on reviews and undertake audit fieldwork without supervision. You may also be expected to support and direct more junior audit staff, including trainees.
Experience Required
- Candidates must have their CMIIA or a CCAB accountancy qualification
- Previous experience of working in an internal audit or compliance environment along with experience of developing effective governance, risk management and internal control arrangements
- Previous public sector experience
- Sound judgement and an ability to analyse complex information, respond positively to change and offer ideas and suggestions for continuous improvement across the audit function and business areas.
- Candidates must be able to demonstrate strong communication and inter-personal skills, personal credibility and have the ability to make an impact and influence a diverse range of stakeholders across the organisation
