Job Title: Financial Accountant

Job Location: Westport, Ireland

Job Duration: 12 Months

JOB SUMMARY:

This person will work closely with the FSSC Management team to provide support in several areas to ensure a successful transition to the Ariba Procurement platform for AMO EMEA in 2019.

The Project Accountant will be involved in implementing the Ariba specific activities (listed below) or supporting the person who must implement the activity. The list is a work in progress, as the project progresses, new processes will be part of the scope of this Project Accountant.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of Master Data Templates, scope of these would include but not be limited to; Supplier Data, Approval Matrices, Commodity Codes, Entity Data.
  • User Acceptance Testing
  • Communications to stakeholders
  • Establishing new business model for AMO Procurement & Payables
  • Training of new users
  • Post implementation support
  • Identify risk and issues as they arise to management
  • Identity system and other changes required as they arise and report to Management
  • Daily collaboration with Pharmaceutical Project team
  • Collaboration with AMO Business as required - this would include but not be limited to Purchasing teams in-country, Accounting, VAT, Statutory Accounting.
  • Cut-over requirements to facilitate new process

Support Activities

  • SOX Compliance - this would include testing, working with key stakeholders to ensure awareness and compliance and documentation of test results on MetricStream.
  • Compliance process improvements - this will involve working closely with some of our Pharmaceutical colleagues in other sites to better understand their compliance/testing processes.
  • Internal Audit - support will be required for any 2019 CIA audit.
  • Intercompany Accounting.
  • Payments and Procurement compliance - these processes will be significantly impacted by the Ariba change therefore we need to ensure our controls adequately reflect this.
  • Co-ordinate and complete updates as required of the SOPs in the FSSC
  • MedTech Reporting - New HCC reporting requirement: required to provide information to HCC on an annual basis.
  • Assist with review and preparation of SLAs, Master Agreements and other Inter-company/divisional documentation to support Transfer pricing requirements as required.
  • Transition activities as they arise in due course - new policies, procedures etc.

Education and Experience:

  • Qualified Accountant with minimum of 3 years post qualification experience working within a medium sized international company
  • Project experience desirable, ideally in an international role
  • Proven ability to influence change across multiple regions
  • Strong accounting and systems skills
  • Strong knowledge of the AMO Legal and Tax structures.

Essential Skills and Abilities:

  • Project orientated and able to work on own initiative and report to Senior Management in the FSSC and in Pharmaceutical
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities in English
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Experienced user of an ERP system is essential. Knowledge of SAP preferable
