Senior Financial Reporting Accountant

M&G Prudential is required to produce consolidated IFRS financial statements and Group Solvency 2 reporting. Reporting to the Head of Group Consolidation, this role will be integral to establishing the consolidation process for M&G Prudential and production of the financial information for the new Group's reporting. It is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and dynamic accountant to be involved in establishing the financial reporting for a new listed group.

Knowledge:

  • Detailed knowledge of IFRS and Solvency 2 reporting requirements
  • Detailed knowledge of financial reporting regulatory requirements and legislatory frameworks
  • Knowledge of M&G Prudential products, systems and distribution methods
  • Experience of dealing with complex transactions and associated accounting
  • Good knowledge of industry trends, best practice and developments, good networks/links with external bodies and individuals in the same field

Experience:

  • Significant experience of the production and delivery of financial reporting in a life and pensions organisation. Asset management experience is also beneficial
  • Experience of delivering finance change programmes
  • Experience of insurance accounting, including requirements of UKGAAP and IFRS

Qualifications:

  • Qualified accountant with post qualification experience
